Three Measurements to Record Before Choosing a Pet Outfit
Record neck, chest and back length, together with the unit and where you measured. Weight or a familiar size label alone cannot establish the fit of a particular garment.
Keep the measurement points consistent
Measure the neck where a collar naturally sits, the chest around the widest part of the rib cage, and the back from the base of the neck to the intended garment endpoint. Use the illustration in our size guide and note the endpoint you chose.

Separate body measurements from garment measurements
A body measurement is not automatically a finished garment measurement. Check whether a size chart describes the pet or the clothing. Any additional fit allowance needs to come from the information for the specific design; there is no universal allowance supplied here.
Use photography for shape, not scale
The Sky Blue Tiered Dress photograph shows a layered skirt. That visible shape does not tell you its actual back length. Keep the design reference with your measurement notes so a fit inquiry refers to the exact garment you have in mind.
